BEST Logistics Sp. z o.o. was founded in Szczecin in 2000 on the initiative of Andreas Häfner. In his capacity as a representative of HAEGER & SCHMIDT GmbH, Andreas has realized a growing number of logistic projects in the area of inland waterway transportation.

Port Opole Groszowice regains its position as a major transshipment hub in the transport of project cargo. The modern gantry crane with a capacity of 500t, port infrastructure and experienced staff ensure efficient and safe handling of heavy and oversized cargo that require special lifting technology. In 2011 the Port handles steel construtions, bulky tanks Alstom’s power generator, blade heads for drilling rigs for the Warsaw Metro, condensers with accessories and other high-tech devices.

From October of this year the Polish ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście are supported by the Lodbrok floating crane with a maximum 260T lifting capacity. As a result of an agreement with the Swedish shipowner Marine Crane, commercial issues of the crane operation is managed by Best Logistics company acting as an agent. Both ports again offer smooth cargo handling of project cargo after several months of perturbations caused by the sale of 200t floating crane in May to a foreign partner.

New year brings new developments in the organization of our company. Since January the head office in Szczecin is reinforced with additional staff. Here, the focus is the operations of the Best Logistics. In the area of Warsaw was established a representative office in place of the defunct office in Lodz. For customers disposal is the agency office in the Port of Opole. Changes will affect the best use of our potential and smarter execution of tasks entrusted to us by customers.

In July, Opole Harbour in Groszowice will recommence its operations. The harbour will now be equipped with a new 500 t gantry crane.
Best Logistics operates as the commercial agent of the Harbour.

At Best Logistics the first week of 2010 was marked with hard work.
The 442t generator was reloaded in Gdynia, and inland and maritime freight to Germany via Rotterdam was carried out.
